The Cafe

Established originally as a Tea Garden early during the last century, this superlative Beach Café situated at the western end of the cove offers unparalleled views of the English Channel from its picturesque terrace. The current owners Nick and Juliette Ekins have rented the café to Andy and Choo Hinson for the foreseeable future.

The café serves a wide selection of freshly prepared sandwiches and salads, together also with pints of juicy prawns, home-made cakes and puddings. Speciality dishes include locally caught crab supplied by the award winning Ventnor Haven Fishery. The café’s legendary Crab Teas are also extremely popular. What can be better then enjoying a pot of tea and crab sandwich by the seaside followed by a fresh fruit scone with clotted cream and jam. Trays are also available for the beach together with a comprehensive selection of hot and cold drinks and New Forest ice creams. The Café is now licensed to sell beer and wine from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm

Sandy children and well behaved dogs are welcome. We regret do not accept reservations and operate on a first come first serve basis.
